A Coffee Pot or Creamer from Broggi of Milan. A piece of some historical interest as it is crested to the Italian Africa Police in 1940. Broggi, a famous Italian brand, made silverware for the Italian Military particularly the Navy. Almost all Italian personnel and equipment in North Africa were captured by the British Army so it is highly likely that this was a war prize. There are a couple of dents on one side which suggest that its life was somewhat exciting at one point. An Art Deco design probably by Gio Ponti this is a rare and lovely item. Pre War Broggi is regarded as very desirable and this one is particularly so.
