A Silver Decanter hallmarked in London to Harrods in 1981. This decanter is monogrammed to Sir Herbert Burbidge who was the 5th baronet. Historically, from the Victorian times a Burbidge had been chairman of Harrods although we cannot establish that Sir Herbert was although it seems likely. The decanter appears to have been presented to him by Harrods. A beautiful piece in a hobnail body with a stepped cut neck in the Georgian style. In undamaged condition with no apparent liquid use and completely clear. A very rare object.
