8 Champagne Coupes with a double panel of intricate etchwork within three sets of horizontal lines.  These are beautiful champagnes, and we make some speculation about them.  Firstly, we think they are Baccarat although we cannot identify the pattern.  The type and quality of the etchwork is reassuring and the extensive use of horizontal line circles is suggestive of Baccarat’s Filet motif.  We also think they may been made in 1919-20 when the Baccarat factory and South Eastern France was recovering from war damage and disruption. Blank quality suffered in that time although not the workmanship and these champagnes have the minor – and charming – flaws that we have seen from those circumstances such as air bubbles and similar imperfections.  Lovely coupes which we like a lot.  We have a ninth glass which is having a rim repair and this can be supplied FOC
