10 Champagne Coupes by Val Saint Lambert. About 100 years ago the crystal makers in Belgium decided that it would be amusing to make the same glass in slightly different sizes. This sense of humour pervades the entire crystal industry although it is always possible that post -Great War disruption had a part to play. Anyway, these are generous and very handsome champagnes in a simple and old pattern that sits atop Val’s classic and stunning carved and air bubbled stem. In very good condition. The larger coupes are 12 x 10 and the slightly smaller ones 11 x 9.
