Baccarat Crystal Lagny Cobalt Blue Decanter Belle Epoque

A footed Decanter by Baccarat in the Lagny Pattern and in Cobalt Blue. Lagny was introduced by Baccarat in 1912 and hence near the end of the Belle Epoque. The ‘eye’ is synonymous with many Baccarat patterns from that era. We understand from French sources that most blue Lagnys were made soon after introduction and possibly before the Great War. In undamaged condition this decanter is possibly one of the most beautiful single pieces we have handled and the blue is quite sensational.
